Congratulations

Congratulations to Lisa Lanfear of Communities For Horses, who has become one of the first in the UK to earn an official qualification in equine welfare. In an important step for equine welfare, the Horse Trust created a course for those volunteering in this sector. The course covers the important topics of equine legislation, welfare and field skills.

Before the introduction of this this course, the was no regulated qualification for equine welfare volunteers. The course is top quality, having been composed in conjunction with vets, equine welfare charities, legislative bodies, equine behaviour specialists and equine nutrition specialists. This important qualification is recognised by the equine community and will likely become desirable to any person or organisation wishing to be involved in this important work.
